Meenakari is a traditional Indian art form that involves enameling or painting intricate designs on metal objects, such as jewelry, decorative items and other ornaments. The term ‘Meenakari’ comes from the Hindi words ‘Meena’, meaning enamel and ‘Kari’, meaning work.
Meenakari artists use vibrant colors and intricate designs to create beautiful and durable artworks. The process involves applying multiple layers of enamel to the metal surface, which are then fired in a kiln to achieve the desired colors and patterns.
